74HC00 Quad 2-input NAND Gate IC

The 74HC00 is an IC with four NAND gates. Each gate has its own two inputs, so the IC is normally referred to as a Quad 2-input NAND gate IC. Though all the gates are powered from a common rail, they operate independently performing a NAND (AND NOT) Boolean function. It is commonly used in SR latches, alarm and temper detect circuits.
