Product Overview
The AMS1117 series of adjustable and fixed voltage regulators are designed to deliver output currents up to 1A, operating with an input-output voltage differential as low as 1V. The device’s dropout voltage is guaranteed to be a maximum of 1.3V, which decreases at lighter load currents. On-chip trimming allows the reference voltage to be adjusted to 1.5%. Current limiting is implemented to minimize stress on the regulator and power circuit under overload conditions. The AMS1117 is pin-compatible with other three-terminal SCSI regulators, available in standard surface-mount SOT-223, 8-pin SOIC, and TO-252 (DPAK) plastic packages.
